Parish Pastoral Planning

In 2023 the Diocese of Covington formed a strategic alliance with Catholic Leadership Institute to help the diocese undertake a long term pastoral planning initiative. As part of that each parish was asked to formulate a pastoral plan that addressed key areas of need brought up in the Disciple Maker Index. The following priorities and goals are Saints Boniface and James' goals.

Priority #1:
Sunday Experience

Increase the number of parishioners who when surveyed strongly agree that the Sunday Mass is vibrant and engaging from 22% to 50% by December 15 2026.

1.Update sound system

2. Increase volunteer participation

3. Cultivate intentional attendance through prayer cards and teaching masses

Increase the number of parishioners who when surveyed strongly agree that the preaching at Mass connects to my daily life from 18% to 40% by December 15 2026.

Priority #2:
Communication

Increase the number of parishioners who when surveyed strongly agree that the parish communicates effectively online from 5% to 50% by December 15, 2026

  1. Update parish website

  2. Build and maintain an email and text list for parish households

Increase the number of parishioners who when surveyed strongly agree that information about the parish is easily found from 40% to 65% by December 15, 2026.

Priority #3: Evangelization and Formation
 

Increase the number of parishioners who when surveyed strongly agree that they are growing in their understanding and knowledge of the faith from 7% to 40% by December 15, 2026.
  1. Begin hosting events that evangelize parishoners

  2. Build an evangelization committee that will lead parish efforts in evangelization both internally and externally

​Decrease the number of parishioners who when surveyed about Eucharistic adoration say they never attend from 24% to 10% by December 15, 2026.

Begin offering Eucharistic adoration on a weekly basis
